Scone Palace is to host a Festival of Orchids from 5th — 6th August 2006. The festival will include displays by six of the UK’s top orchid nurseries and suppliers, as well as talks and demonstrations on the art of orchid – growing, competitions, and orchids for sale.

Pitlochry Festival Theatre opens its doors for summer
After another highly successful winter season, Pitlochry Festival Theatre opens its acclaimed summer season with A Woman of no Importance. Other summer season plays include Summer Lightning, Man of the Moment, Chimneys, The Grapes of Wrath and Hamlet: The Actors Cut. A multitude of one night performances will also take place at the theatre during the year.
